Update: Hiatus & Changes To Ordering In 2018

Fola here - I hope the Christmas/Holiday season has been treating you all well? In today's post, I just want to update you on a few little upcoming events and changes in 2018~
*Semi-Hiatus*
First and foremost, I will be taking a short break between Jan 1st & Jan 14th; the Christmas period was quite hectic for me both personally and professionally, and I need to take a little time off to re-coup and put together some amazing new designs for you guys ;>
During this period I will not be processing any new orders, however any outstanding orders will be handled in regular time. If you place an order during this period, I will only begin processing once the hiatus has ended.
Also if you have questions or inquiries, I will still be responding to messages/emails but it may take slightly longer than usual; the best time to catch me will be right after I've made a post! I hope you understand~ <3
*New Ordering System*
In early 2018, we are hoping to test out a new ordering system: previously we've used a two part preorder and general release system, with all dresses being made strictly to order; however, next year we are hoping to move to a more reservation based system. This is because as an individual, this will make things easier to manage and should also speed up processing times to a degree.
The reservation system will be quite similar to our preorder periods, running roughly for 2-4 weeks and the 10% discount will still apply; but ordering during the reservation period will be the only way to guarantee getting a piece in the size and colourway you want. I'll make sure to give ample notice of new releases and prices so that you don't miss out.
Should you miss the reservation, you may still have an opportunity to get your pieces. If there is enough time/material left over, then I may make a few extra pieces during the processing time of the reservation period, and those will be up for general sales. While this does mean there will be no waiting time for those pieces, it also means that sizes and pieces will be limited, and it is quite possible you may not be able to get the size you want.
This process is still imperfect and there will be slightly tweaks made throughout the year but at present this is the system we want to try implementing. If a particular series is popular then we made do a re-release or extended reservation period, so never hesitate to let us know what you want!
NB: The Butterfly Library series will not be affected by this change, it will continue to be made-to-order until its retirement.
*Custom Sizing*
Previously with custom sizes, we have priced them on a case by case basis, but with the number of custom sizes being ordered increasing, we have decided to implement a flat rate custom sizing charge for ease of ordered.
We have yet to decide how much this will cost, and it may change on a piece by piece basis (as material prices vary) but we hope that by doing this, it will make things easier on both sides. Also please note that with our new system, custom sizing will only be available during reservation periods.
Here at Heaven's Atrium, one thing we love to do is get you angels involved, so from now on you'll be seeing a lot more of, and taking part in the behind the scenes; helping us make big decisions and watching a piece going from sketch to final piece, with fun to be had the entire way.
We hope next year we'll be able to do a lot more competitions, polls and giveaways, getting you excited for each series/release and bringing your more pieces that fit like heaven~!
I want to say a quick thank you to everyone who has supported Heaven's Atrium throughout 2017, honestly this brand has achieved so much more this year that I'd have ever imagined and it's only thanks to all of you. I hope in 2018 I'll be able to continue making designs that you love and adore and that you'll all stick around to see it happen! I'm extremely grateful and can't wait for what's to come~
