New Print Reveal! Introducing Butterfly Library!
It's the most wonderful time of the year~~~~! (And no, I don't mean Christmas!) I mean it's that time when I get to announce a new print! I introduce to you our late summer print:
Butterfly Library!
This print features a variety of different butterflies, each listed with their scientific name in a beautiful handwritten script, and comes in three spring/summer colours: lavender, mint & lemon.
In terms of inspiration I have to give a shout out to one of my favourite fellow indie brands Mulberry Chronicles, their nature inspired prints featuring deep earthy tones were definitely a great source of inspiration, however with this print I wanted to go in the opposite direction and opt for a much lighter, airier (and almost vintage) feel.
Butterflies have also been a popular motif in both high and alternative fashion in the last year or so, so through this print I wanted to attempt to make them cute without being overbearing and really show through their beauty. I chose mainly neutral coloured butterflies because they sat more comfortably on the pastel tones in the background and gave an overall soft feel: all in all, I'm really happy with how this turned out!
In terms of the silhouettes, I went for a more vintage appeal once again but that's all I'm telling you for now! I've just got the last few stitches to put in place but I'm really excited to finish these pieces so I can finally show them to you, I really hope you'll show them lots of love when they finally arrive.
