The Birth of a Brand
Hello Everyone, I'm Fola~ (*゜▽゜*)ノ
This is my first greeting to you as the owner of this new indie brand: Heaven's Atrium! o((*^▽^*))o I suppose I should start off by introducing myself first and then telling you more about how this brand came to be, huh?
As I said, I'm Fola, though I go by many different nicknames~ I'm 20 years old (21 this year!) and I'm a 3rd year, full-time university student studying BA Korean in the UK. Oh, I'm a British-born Nigerian by the way! (＾▽＾) I also speak semi-fluent Japanese, which I started studying back in 2007/8 and I've been interested in J-fashion for almost as long - though I really only started wearing J-fashion back in 2011. My current favourite styles are MODE, Otome & Mori-kei and my favourite J-brands are Innocent World, Jane Marple & Mint Neko. I also have a great interest in K-fashion, especially after studying abroad in South Korea last year.
Up until now I've had a few dreams, most of which regrettably have been crushed ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` ) but I'm also the type who does their best to bounce back as soon as possible; I don't like giving up until that's my only option! *Midorima voice* "I haven't done all I can do yet. Anyhow, one thing I've always wanted to do in the far off future was to own my own brand, or rather brands, since I have so many different styles that I'm interested in. It's something I've talked about a lot with my close friends but I never thought about actually beginning until I was like 50? ...I have other things I wanted to do before then, okay? (〃´∀｀))
However, as a university student I also have to think about my future ヘ(＿ ＿ヘ) I graduate next year so I had to make a plan of what I was going to do with myself and how I was going to survive... which is when the crazy idea hit me: Why not start one of my brands now? ⁽⁽◝(∗ ❛⃘ ꒫ ❜⃘⃘ ∗)◜⁾⁾
And here we are (*゜▽゜*)> ahahaha... It was a bit impulsive but I'd dreamed about this brand for a long time, and I just so happened to have the means to make things happened so I thought, why not give it a shot? I spent my entire Easter break planning and sourcing materials and such, and I already had the designs ready too...
Anyway, long story short, after one and a half stressful months, somehow my impulse turned into this brand. Crazy, right?
As you can see the brand shop itself is still far from opening but things are slowly but surely coming together! I've still got some hectic weeks ahead of me (and exams OTL) but hopefully by the end of May, Heaven's Atrium will be ready for its grand opening~~ o(〃＾▽＾〃)o
I hope my brand and designs will be well received by all of you and you'll continue to watch as this brand begins to grow more and more. Let's make and wear cute and elegant clothes together!
